The Goal: The Colorado Legacy Foundation invests in innovation in public schools through grants, thought-leadership, and by convening policy leaders, community partners, and educators. They have a vast library of resources on topics ranging from Bullying Prevention to Educator Effectiveness. But their original website was outdated and static. OnSight was contracted to build a streamlined site to enhance the viewer experience and put their resources and best practice guides one click away from the classroom.
The Strategy: When it comes to website development, our approach is to build a strong relationship and promote good communication with our clients. First, we gathered site and feature requirements so we knew exactly what CLF needed out of a new website. Then we created detailed homepage mockups for CLF to critique and zero in on elements they liked and disliked. Once we agreed on a design, we laid it over a customized, easy-to-use content management system. We also provided training for CLF staff so they were confident they could update and maintain the new site on their own.
Additionally, to ensure CLF could actively push their resources out to the public, OnSight built in full social media integration with the new CoLegacy.org which afforded their supporters the ability to interact with CLF on social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter, as well as share their resources amongst their peer networks to raise CLF’s level of exposure amongst the education community.

The Outcome: The new CoLegacy.org is a product we are very proud of. To see it in action visit http://colegacy.org/.
